This adventure follows a party bound by fate to stop a daelkyr incursion. After drawing the Throne card from the Deck of Many Things in the Shadow Marches, they became the rightful rulers of Veilwater Keep, a hidden stronghold in Lake Galifar tied to ancient planar mysteries. As aberrant threats rise, they must navigate intrigue and lost legacies to decide Khorvaire’s fate.

Session 17: Stone Statues and a Skyward Skirmish
The party reached Sariel’s airship, uncovered Warforged impostors with organic remains, and sent statue-lizardfolk to reclaim Veilwater Keep. A bronze dragon attacked, casting heroes overboard—Wolf saved Mavikhad, but Ecthelion neared death. As spirits emerged from the keep, the battle for Veilwater Keep began.
Session 18: The Dragon Yields, the Keep Calls
Battling a bronze dragon over Lake Galifar, the party saved Ecthelion from drowning, rallied ghostly allies, and forced the dragon’s retreat. With Veilwater Keep ahead, they navigated the waterfall entrance, discovering ancient statues and forgotten names tied to their fate. Achilles made a grand entrance—met only by silence.
Session 19: Fate and Flames
At Veilwater Keep, the party explored eerie halls, an ancient chapel, and a library filled with giant spiders—until Ecthelion’s Fireball set it ablaze. While Mavikhad sang prayers, Sariel felled the last spider, and the team scrambled to save burning books. Their new stronghold held secrets, but first, they had to survive it.
Session 20: Paintings and Purification
As Veilwater Keep’s strange magic amplified their spells, the party encountered lingering dwarven spirits who guided them in cleansing the desecrated chapel. Baraz unknowingly wielded a book that trapped demons, and cryptic paintings revealed their fated titles, unlocking long-lost chambers filled with relics from the legendary Warriors of the Planes.
Session 21: Treasure, Traps, and Transformation
The party discovered the bones of Ecthelion’s draconic ancestor, Rithvoargolosalae, and met Luther Valos—revealed to be a shape-shifting bronze dragon. After defeating the necromancer Gremorly, they dismantled the ghost trap ritual and claimed Veilwater Keep. Achilles crowned himself “Veris,” seven thrones bore the party's names, and Ecthelion set his sights on crafting a legendary warhorn.
